Pipe-gun used in journo Shimul murder recovered

Sirajganj Correspondent: Police have recovered the pipe-gun used in the incident of journalist Abdul Hakim Shimul murder.

It was recovred from a pond adjacent to the house of Shahzadpur municipality mayor Halimul Haque Miru on Tuesday morning.

Monirul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC-Investigation) of Shahzadpur Police Station, confirmed the news.

He said the illegal firearms was recovered from the pond on the basis of information provided by  mayor Miru and his brother Mintu in remand.

Daily Samakal reporter Shimul was shot dead in a clash between two groups at Shahjadpur on February 2.
