Pregnant woman murdered in Faridpur!

Faridpur Correspondent: A four-month pregnant woman was killed allegedly by her husband and family members of husband in Baneshwar village under Nagarkanda upazila in Faridpur.

The victim is identified as Sharmin Aktar Shuvra, daughter of late Akai Hossain Dhali, hailed from Lohair village of Muksudpur upazila on Gopalganj.

Sources said that Shuvra got married with Ripon Khandakar four years ago. The couple have a three-year old daughter.

Hafeza Begum, mother of the victim said, her daughter Shuvra demanded Tk15,000 on June 17. Hut, her family could not pay the amount and she returned to her husband’s home. Later, it was known that she committed suicide.

Nagarkanda police station Officer-in-Charge Mizanur Rahman said, on information police recovered the body and sent to hospital for autopsy.
