Pregnant woman, son die after snake bite at Tarash

Sirajganj Correspondent: A pregnant woman and her four-year-old son died after being bitten by a venomous snake in Tarash Upazila of the district early Wednesday.

The deceased were identified as Rabeya Khatun, 25 and her son Siam, 4, hailed from Malshin village of Madhainagar union under the upazila.

Abu Hasan Mirza, Madhainagar Union Parishad (UP) Chairman said the victim mother and son were bitten around 1:00am while they were asleep on the floor of their house. Meanwhile, hearing hue and cry, locals rushed to the spot and sent them to Tarash Upazila Health Complex.

Later, they were shifted to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College. But, they died on the way of the hospital.
