Primary Asst Teacher Appointment Exam: One jailed, five fined

Gopalganj Correspondent: A mobile court jailed a person and fined five others for allegedly adopting unfair means in primary assistant teacher appointment examination in Gopalganj.

Judge of the mobile court Executive Magistrate Mohsin Uddin passed the order on Friday noon.

The convicts were known as Shankar Das, Sheuly Majumdar, Kona Mallik, Hamida Akter, Mim Bala and Tanuja Biswas.

They all are residents of different areas of the district.

Of them, Shankar was sentenced to imprisonment for seven days while others were fined Tk a thousand each.



It has been understood that Some 14,020 candidates participated in primary assistant teacher appointment exam against 200 posts in Gopalganj on Friday. The six people were expelled from Sharnakoli High School centre for using electronic devices during the examination. Later, they were held and produced before the mobile court.
