Saudi road crash kills 5 Bangladeshis

Feni Correspondent: Four of a family among five Bangladeshis were killed and another was seriously injured in a road crash in Saudi Arabia while they were returning home after completing Umra on Saturday.

The deceased were ascertained as businessman Abdul Aziz of Feni's Baharipur, his son Arafat, 12, daughter Ariya, 4, mother-in-law Zobeda Khanam, and their driver Masud of Dinajpur.

The injured was known as Morsheda Parvin, wife of deceased Aziz and teacher of Bijoysingh government primary school of the district's sadar upazila. She was admitted to a local hospital.

Israfil Chowdhury Kiran, relative of the deceased, said the car carrying them fell in road crash at Umme Jam Jam area, 200 kilometers far from Al-Batin of Hafa area from where they were returning after completing Umra on Saturday.

Abdul Aziz, his son, daughter and the driver Masud were killed on the spot while his mother-in-law succumbed at the hospital, he added.
