School girl commits suicide following eve teasing

Kushtia Correspondent: A teenager girl committed suicide by hanging herself in Mirpur upazila after she was harassed by some eve teasers.

The deceased was a student of class nine of K B H secondary school, hailed from Sadarpur union of Mirpur upazila.

Uncle of the girl said, the victim with her cousin went to local market to buy flowers. Meanwhile, a boy named Joynal took them to a nearby potato farm in Amla area. At one stage, police rescued them and handed over to union parishad member Rezela Khatun. Later, the eve teasers again took the girl forcefully in a nearby house where she committed suicide. 

Mirpur police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Alim said a case was filed in this regard.
