Schoolboy stabbed dead by classmate in Gopalganj

Gopalganj Correspondent: A schoolboy was stabbed to death by his classmate over trifling matter at Ramdia SK High School of the district's Kashiani upazila on Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Barkat Ullah Prince, 13, son of Hanif Mollah alias Dulu Mollah of Jotkura village of the upazila and seventh grader of the school.

Md Hadi Abdullah, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Ramdia police outpost, said Prince locked in altercation over something with his classmate Shah Alam while they both were studying at a coaching centre in the morning. As a sequel to that Alam took him out of the school and stabbed him to death and he fled the scene immediately.

Other classmates along with teachers took Prince to Gopalganj General Hospital where he succumbed, he added.

He said Police have taken attempt to arrest the main accused. He, however, could not tell the reason behind the killing.

Hanif Mollah alias Dulu said, "I left my son at school in the morning. Later, I came to know Shah Alam stabbed to death. He died after he was taken to the hospital. I want justice for my son murder."
