Kushtia Correspondent: A schoolgirl was killed in lightning strike at Shakdachor village under Ambaria union in the district’s Mirpur upazila.
The deceased was identified as Eti Khatun, 14, daughter of farmer Abdul Latif of the village and a student of class seven of nearby Halsa High School.
The tragic incident occurred on Monday when thunderbolt stuck at their house while Eti was taking preparation for going to a coaching centre.
She was taken to Mirpur Upazila Health Complex where attending doctor declared Eti dead.
