Sechwasebak League leader's throat-slit body found 

Feni Correspondent: Police recovered throat-slit body of a Sechwasebak League leader from a sand field adjacent to Matubhuiyan Bazar of the district's Daganbhuiyan upazila on Saturday morning.

The deceased was identified as Fakhrul Uddin Chowdhury, 30, as organising secretary of the municipal Sechwasebak League unit and son of Abu Taher of Aziz Fazil village.

Shahinur Akter Jasmine, elder sister of the deceased, said his (Fakhrul) friends Hiro and Bahadur seized his motorcycle 10 days ago.  Later, they demanded Tk 10,000, saying it was seized by police. Around 11:30pm on Friday, Hero asked Fakhrul to get down of the house with Tk 10,000. Then, he met him with the money. Hero then took him to another place by a microbus. On the following morning, we heard Fakhrul throat-slit body found at Matubhuiyan area.

Abul Kalam Azad, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Daganbhuiyan Police Station, confirmed the news.

He said two youths were held in this connection. Their identities could not be disclosed for the sake of investigation. A motorcycle of the killers was also seized.
