Shibir leader held in Gaibandha

Gaibandha Correspondent: Police have arrested a local Shibir leader at Dhaperhat union under Sadullapur upazila of the district on Thursday morning.

The arrestee is Sujon Mia, 30, son of Johurul Islam of Gobindapur village of the union. Sujon is the general secretary of Shibir in the union.

Confirming the matter to risingbd.com, Mostafizur Rahman, in-charge of Dhaperhat Police Investigation Center, said police arrested Sujon Mia from Gobindapur area of the union following nine cases of sabotage filed against him.

After primary investigation, Sujon has been sent to Gaibandha District Jail following a court order at noon, he said.
