Shrimp spawn, tortoise worth Tk 1.15cr sized in Khulna

Staff Correspondent, Khulna: Coast guard personnel sized a huge number of illegal shrimp spawn and tortoise from Khan Jahan Ali Bridge area of Rupsha upazila in the district.

Lieutenant BN Abdullah Al Mahmud, detective officer of Coast Guard said acting on a tip-off, a patrol team of Coast Guard seized 57 lakh Shrimp spawn and 73 pieces of tortoise from the area on Friday.

The market price of the Shrimp spawn and tortoise is Tk1.15 crore.
