Six hurt in gas cylinder blast in Pabna

Pabna Correspondent: A total of six people sustained injuries in a gas cylinder explosion at the National Development Fair in Ishwardi Upazila of the district on Thursday morning.

The injured are- Balloon seller Bappi, 32, Farhad, 10, Rabbi, 10, Mehedi, 12, Alim, 12 and Tushar, 13.

The explosion took place around 10:30am.

Ishwardi police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Azim Uddin said the incident took place when a balloon vendor was inflating balloons during the fair, leaving six people injured.

S A Asma Khan, health official of Ishwardi health complex said the injured were taken to Ishwardi Upazila Health Complex. Later, the 5 injured people were shifted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
