Son allegedly kills father in Tangail

Staff Correspondent: A man is hacked to death allegedly by his son in Chardanga village under Nagarpur upazila of Tangail district on Saturday noon.

The deceased was identified as Lal Mia, 60.

Locals said that the victim is suffering from old age complications and wished to sell his cow. Meanwhile, his son beat him for wishing to sell the cow.

Later, the father sold the cow. Hearing the selling information, the son rushed to home and attacked his father with lethal weapon, leaving him critically injured. 

The injured was sent to Upazila Health Complex where duty doctor declared him dead.

Confirming the matter, Nagarpur upazila police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Jahirul Islam said that raid is underway to arrest victim's son Azhar.
