Strict steps if negligence found in duties: CEC

Staff Correspondent: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) has vowed to handle the overall situation strictly if law enforcers are found to make any negligence willingly in their duties during polls.

He said, "I want to say clearly if anyone is found to commit negligence in performing duties, it will be handled stricktly."

CEC came up with the statement while speaking at a programme arranged over union parishad and municipality polls at the Election Building of the capital's Agargaon on Sunday.

Four election commissioners, acting secretary of Election Commission (EC) and delegates from different law enforcement agencies attended the programme.
