Sunshade collapse leaves 2 siblings dead in Khulna

Staff Correspondent: Two siblings were killed after a sunshade of an under construction house collapsed on them in Deyana Uttarpara area of Khulna city on Tuesday noon.

The deceased were identified as Md Shipon, 12 and his 18 months old sister Samia Khatun, children of one Badal Sheikh of Uttarpara area under Daulatpur police station.

Daulatpur police station sub-inspector (SI) Md Moniruzzaman said Shipon and Samia were playing under a sunshade of an under construction house of their own. Suddenly, the sunshade collapsed on them, leaving them dead on the spot.

Daulatpur police station officer-in-charge (OC) Mostak Ahmed confirmed the incident.
