Suspected militant den cordoned off in Jessore

Staff Correspondent, Jessore: Law enforcers cordoned off a suspected militant den at Ghop central road of the district town from Sunday late night.

Operation will start inside the house after a team of Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) from Dhaka reaches the spot.

Haidar Ali, owner of the house, also teacher of Jessore district school, said one Moshiur Rahman hailed from Kushtia rented the house. He identified himself as a worker of a herbal company.

Ajmal Huda, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jessore Kotwali Police Station, confirmed the news.

Nayemur Rahman, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) in Jessore, said the house was cordoned off on basis of information provided by SWAT. It is guessed that militants are staying inside the house. People including journalists are bared to enter the area.
