Suspended cop among 3 held with Yaba in Ctg

Staff Correspondent, Chattogram: Detectives arrested a suspended assistant sub-inspector (ASI) and two of his associates along with Yaba tablets from Bahaddarhat area in the port city on Thursday.
The arrestees were identified as ASI Md Redwanul Islam, 32, and his associates Golam Kibria, 42, and Abu Hena Mostafa, 32.
A team of Detective Branch of police arrested them along with 1000 pieces of Yaba tablets from Baraipara area, according to a press release issued by Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) on Friday.
Earlier in 2016, a team of police arrested ASI Redwanul of Baklia Police Station along with two others while they were smuggling 1,700 Yaba pills in an area under Kotwali Police Station.
Since then Redwanul remained suspended.
