Swechhasebak League leader hacked dead in Ctg

Staff Correspondent, Chattogram: A Swechhasebak League leader was hacked to death in Kolgaotek area under Patiya upazila of the district.

The deceased was identified as Jamal Uddin Akbar, 35. He was president of Kolgaon union Swechhasebak League. 

Local sources said that Akbar was killed following political conflict or business dispute.

Confirming the matter, Patiya police station officer-in-charge (OC) Sheikh said that miscreants attacked Akbar around 10:00pm on Monday, leaving him critically injured.

Later, he was taken to Chattogram Medical College Hospital where duty doctors declared him dead, OC added.
