‘Testing of Bangabandhu satellite launch successful’

Staff Correspondent, Gopalganj: Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar said, “The timeframe for launching Bangabandhu-1, Bangladesh's first satellite, can be known at 10:00pm on Saturday. The primary testing of the Bangabandhu satellite, which will be sent to space through rocket Falcon-9, has been completed. It has been 100 percent successful.”

The minister said this while replying to a query of journalists after visiting hi-tech park site on the campus of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University (BSMRSTU) in Gopalganj on Saturday afternoon.

Now the Bangabandhu satellite will be launched at any time. The satellite launching may be on May 7 or 2/3 days later, Mustafa Jabbar said.

Regarding the construction of hi-tech park in Gopalganj, he said the hi-tech park will be constructed within shortest possible time where many people will get opportunity to work.
