Three killed in Faridpur road crash

Faridpur Correspondent: At least three people were killed and five others were injured in a road crash at Ziatuli village of the district's Nagarkanda upazila on Sunday night.

The deceased were identified as Imran Hossain, 30, of the village, his nephew Ayub Hossain, 3, and private car driver Sohel Mir of Khulna.

AFM Nasim, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nagarkanda police station, confirmed the news.

He said a Khulna-bound private car from Dhaka ran over two passersby after its driver lost the control over steering and hit a bridge, leaving them dead on the spot.

Six people were also injured in the incident. Of them, Sohel succumbed on way to Faridpur Medical College and Hospital, he added.

Other injured were also admitted to the hospital, he said.
