Three killed in Khagrachhari road crash

Khagrachhari Correspondent: Three people including a woman and a child were killed and 10 others were injured as a bus plunged into a roadside ditch at Kalapani area on Khagrachhari-Chittagong highway of the district's Guimara upazila on Wednesday morning.

The deceased were identified as Ripon Akter, 24, wife of Md Younus of Khedachhara area of Matiranga upazila, Tariqul Islam, 20, son of Barek Faraz of Satchhari under Guimara upazila, and Ferdous Akter, 4, whose detail identities could not be known immediately.

Shafiqul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Guimara Police Station, confirmed the news.

He said the bus plunged into roadside ditch as the driver of it lost control over the steering, leaving three dead on the spot and 10 others injured.

The injured were admitted to different local hospitals, he added.
