Three killed in Tangail road crashes

Staff Correspondent, Tangail: At least three people were killed and four others were injured in separate road crashes in Kalihati and Mirzapur upazila of Tangail on Thursday.
In Kalihati, two people were killed in a clash among three trucks at Charbhabla area of Kalihati, leaving five injured. They were rushed to Tangail General Hospital where two people died.
The deceased were known as Ashik Hassan, 25, son of Robiul Islam Sarker of Pachuria village of Chatmohor upazila in Pabna, and trader Taibor Rahman, 50, son of Aiful Rahman of Kujirpukur area of Lalpur upazila.
Mosharraf Hossain, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bangabandhu Bridge East Police Station, confirmed the news.
In Mirzapur, a child was run over by an unknown bus at Kurni area in the morning while he was crossing road with her mother, leaving him dead on the spot and her mother seriously injured.
The deceased was known as Sagor, 10, son of Sazzad Hossain of Tarutia area of Tangail Sadar upazila.
Sagor’s mother was admitted to Mirzapur Kumudini Hospial in critical condition.
