Three killed in lighting strikes in Habiganj

Habiganj Correspondent: Three people were killed in separate incidents of lightning strikes in Lakhai and Baniachang upazila of Habiganj on Sunday afternoon.

In Lakhai, two farmers were seriously injured in lightning strike while they were harvesting paddy in Haor. Later, they succumbed to their injuries while they were on way to hospital, according to locals.

The deceased were identified as Nupur Mia, 45, and Apon Mia, 35 of Sujonpur village of the upazila.

In Hiala village of Baniachang, an eight year-old boy was killed in the incident of lightning strike when he was playing near their home. The deceased was known as Moin Uddin.
