Three madrasa students go missing in Jhalokathi

Jhalokathi Correspondent: Three students of Hosainia Tajweed ul Quran Najera Madrasa in Krishnakathi Kobirajbari road area of Jhalokathi district have allegedly gone missing since Saturday night.

The missing students have been identified as Ashikur Rahman Nazmul, 11, son of Sohrab Ali Mir of Shirjug village, Ramjan Khalifa, 12, son of Abul Kalam Khalifa of Agorbari village and Nahid Mia, 10, son of Panna Mia of Poshchim Chandkathi village in the sadar upazila.

Madrasa’s Hafiz Moulana Yeasin said those students were given a break for saying Esha prayer around 8:30pm on Saturday. But they did not come back to the madrasa after the prayer.

Announcement was being made through miking in the town about their going missing. We have informed the concerned police station in this regard, he added.

Jafor Junayed, duty officer of Sadar police station, said police are making their efforts to find out the missing students. A general diary (GD) will be filed in this connection if not found.
