Three of a family electrocuted in Rangpur

Staff Correspondent, Rangpur: Three members of the same family have been electrocuted at Bananipara area of Rangpur.

The deceased were identified as Tania Begum, her three years old daughter and Tajmahal Begum.

Police and local sources said that roof railing was electrified to fend off theft in a two storied house at Bonanipara. Later, family members of Rubel Islam got electrocuted as they became unaware of it.

On information, fire service rescuers rushed to the spot and sent the victims to Rangpur Medical College Hospital where duty doctors declared him dead this noon.

Kotwali police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rezaul Islam said that the owner of the house was arrested.
