Throat-slit body of housewife recovered in Natore

Natore Correspondent: Police recovered the throat-slit body of a housewife named Shapla Khatun (30) from the field of Kalam-Pundari village under Singra upazila on Sunday midnight.
Earlier, on Saturday night, the housewife disappeared from the nearby Mohishmari village.
Singra Police Station’s Sub-Inspector Khairuzzaman said that on Sunday midnight, the villagers found the body of Shapla Khatun. She was the wife of Hossain Ali at Gutia village of Chamari union and the daughter of Abdul Jabbar Mandal at Mohishmari village.
The elder brother of the deceased and Chamari Union Jubo League president Nurul Islam said that his sister was missing from their house on Saturday night.
He said that about 11 years ago, his younger sister got married to Hossain Ali, the son of farmer Abdul Majed at Gutia village. Hossain Ali was abroad and people of her father-in-law’s house tortured her occasionally.
Singra Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdullah Al Mamun said the body was recovered and sent to Natore Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
