Trader hacked dead in Satkhira

Satkhira Correspondent: A shrimp enclosure owner was hacked to death by unknown miscreants at Ghoshparha water-body area of the district's Shyamnagar upazila on Friday night.

The deceased was identified as Asadur Rahman, 35, son of   Abdul Jabbar of Arongachha village of the district's Kaliganj upazila.

Locals said unknown miscreants attacked on Asadur and stabbed at his throat, chest and legs while he was heading to his shrimp enclosure around 8:30pm. Hearing his hue and cry, locals rushed to the spot and took him to a doctor who declared him dead.

Syed Mannan Ali, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shyamnagar Police Station, confirmed the news.
