Truck kills 2 motorbike riders in Gaibandha

Gaibandha Correspondent: Two motorcycle riders were killed as a truck rammed into their motorcycle at Bokchar-Kalitola area on Dhaka-Rangpur highway of the district's Gobindaganj upazila on Friday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Ziad Hossain Mondal, 21, son of Shahin Mondal of the upazila's Rakhalburuj union, and  Tamim, 22, hailed from the same area, who was driving the motorbike.

Abul Bashar, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gobindaganj Highway Police Station, confirmed the news.

He said, "Ziad and Tamim were returning home from Bogra when the truck rammed into their motorcycle, killing Ziad on the spot who was sitting behind.
 

Tamim was rushed to Bogra Shahid Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital in a critical state where he succumbed, he added.
