Two Myanmar nationals jailed for alleged espionage

Cox's Bazaar Correspondent: A Cox's Bazaar court has sent two Myanmar nationals for their suspected involvement in espionage.

They were arrested for capturing photos at border area, collecting state secret information and providing false information about them.

The Myanmar citizens who were identified as Minzayar and Hkun Lat have been staying in Cox's Bazaar jail.

Afruzul Haque Tutul, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) of Cox's Bazaar, confirmed the news on Saturday noon.

He said the two Myanmar nationals claimed that they work for German GEO magazine and send report form their country.

They both were produced to Cox's Bazaar Senior Judicial Magistrate Razib Kumar Dev's court on Thursday. After hearing, the court sent them to jail.

They were arrested from border area for their suspected movement on September 13.
