Two Rohingya siblings arrested with Yaba

Staff Correspondent, Chittagong: Department of Narcotics Control (DNC), Chittagong has arrested two Rohingya siblings along with 3,000 pieces Yaba tablet.

They were arrested from station road area of Kotwali Police Station on Saturday morning.

They arrestees were known as Abul Kashem, 23, and Raja Mia, 18. They are two brothers. They fled to Bangladesh from Myanmar a month ago.

Zillur Rahman, assistant director (Detective) of Department of Narcotics Control (DNC), Chittagong, said they took shelter at Mochoni Rohingya camp in Teknaf. Later, they involved themselves in Yaba smuggling. They were arrested while they were smuggling Yaba from Teknaf to Chittagong. A case was filed against them with Kotwali Police Station.
