Two Rohingyas killed in wild elephant attack

Cox's Bazar Correspondent: Two Rohingyas including a child were killed and five others injured after wild elephants attacked a temporary camp set up in the hills in Cox's Bazar's Ukhia upazila.

The incident took place in Modhurchhara hill area of the upazila early on Monday morning.

The deceased were identified as Shamsul Alam, 55, and Syedul Alam, 2, who had fled to Bangladesh from Myanmar.

Confirming the incident, Ukhia police station's Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Kae Kislu said the wild elephants suddenly attacked the Rohingya camp and killed the two victims on the spot and injured five others.
