Two blackers punished at Rajshahi railway station

Staff Correspondent, Rajshahi: A mobile court punished two sisters in Rajshahi railway station for their involvement in selling advance train tickets in black market.

They are- Sumona Akhter, 35, wife of Nazrul Islam, resident of Bhadra Jamalpur Mahalla of Chandrima Police Station in the city, Sumi Khatun, 32, wife of Kayum Ali of Talaimari Shaheed Minar area of Motihar police station.

Sources said the two women were caught red handed by a team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-5 on Wednesday. Later, Mamnun Ahmed Anik, executive magistrate also assistant commissioner of district administration sentenced them one-month jail term.

Mamnun Ahmed Anik said, "A total of eight tickets were seized from the two women. Their elder brother controls the syndicate of tickets black market."
