Two killed as bus hits bike in Cox’s Bazar

Cox’s Bazar Correspondent: Two motorcyclists were killed and three others injured as a passenger bus hit the bike on Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway at Laldighi area in Harbang union under Chakaria upazila of Cox’s Bazar on Wednesday evening.

The deceased were identified as Md Kutub Uddin, 30, son of Abdul Alim of Boro Hatia area under Lohagora upazila of Chittagong and Abdur Rahim, 26, son of Md Ishak from the same area.

Harbang highway police outpost’s in-charge Sergeant Md Mayedul Islam said that a Cox’s Bazar bound bus hit the bike around 7:00pm, leaving the two motorcyclists dead on the spot and three others standing beside the road injured.

The injured were whisked off to the Chakaria Hospital, Sergeant Mayedul said.

The bodies of the deceased were kept at the Chakoria Chiringa highway police outpost, he said.
