Two killed as bus rams Laguna in Narayanganj

Staff Correspondent, Narayanganj: Two people were killed and 10 others were injured as a bus rammed a human hauler, popularly known as Laguna, at Khadun area on Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Narayanganj on Tuesday.

Of the deceased, Laguna driver Sohel was identified. He is son Harun Mia of Ronagol area of Chandpur district.

Ripon Mia, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Rupganj Police Station, confirmed the news.

He said a Diganta Paribahan bus from Sylhet rammed the opposite head Laguna at Khadun area, leaving its driver Sohel and an unknown passenger killed on the spot.

The Laguna turned turtle while the bus plunged into a roadside ditch in the accident.

The injured were taken to different local hospitals, according to police.
