Two killed in separate gunfights in B'baria

Brahmanbaria Correspondent: Two robbers were killed in separate “gunfights” with law enforcers in Bijoynagar upazila of the district on Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Bulbul Mia, 40 and Nurul Islam, 42.

The incidents took place early Thursday but the authority disclosed the matter this noon.

Confirming the matter, Bijoynagar police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ali Arshad told risingbd.com robbers locked into a gunfight with detectives in Khetabari area, leaving Bulbul dacoit dead on the spot.

Besides, another gunfight took place between robbers and police in Merasani village under the upazila, leaving Nurul Islam dead.

Later, police recovered a pipe gun, four round bullets, four knife and three other lethal weapons from the spot.
