Two shot by miscreants in Shreepur

Staff Correspondent, Gazipur: Two people were shot by miscreants at Pallibidyut area of the district's Shreepur upazila on Sunday night.

The victims were identified as Rubel Ahmed, 30, son of Siddikur Rahman of the area, and his worker Mohammad Hasnain, 26.

Jahangir Alam, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Shreepur Police Station, confirmed the news.

He said miscreants from a private car shot them in front of Sayakunja on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway while they were returning from the workshop by motorcycle around 8:45pm on Sunday.

They were immediately rushed to the local Al-Hera hospital. Later, they were referred to Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital, he added.
