Two youths killed in Savar road accident

Staff Correspondent: Two youths were killed in a road accident in Nishchintopur area on Baipail-Abdullahpur highway of Savar on Tuesday night.

The deceased were identified as Rubel Mia, 24, and Hasan, 20.

Witnesses said that the two youths were heading towards Zirabo from Baipail around 10:00pm. Meanwhile, a speedy pickup van rammed their motorbike from backside in the area, leaving the bike driver Rubel Mia dead on the spot and Hasan critically injured.

Later, the injured Hasan was rushed to a local hospital where duty doctors declared him dead.

Sub-Inspector Shafiqul Islam of Ashulia police station said the bodies were kept at the police station. A case will be filed in this regard.
