Woman held with gold bar in Khulna

Staff Correspondent, Khulna: A woman was detained along with one kilogram of gold bar from Pather Bazar in Khulna on Thursday night.
The detainee is identified as Kulsum Begum, 38, wife of Abu Taher of Morelganj upazila in Bagerhat district.
Md Shafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Khanjahan Ali Police Station said that acting on secret information, a team of police intercepted a Bagerhat-bound bus from Benapole and detained the woman along with the gold bar.
The market value of the gold bar is Tk 40 lakh, OC added.
