Youth killed in Kushtia road mishap

Kushtia Correspondent: A youth was killed and another was injured in road crash at Taltola of Mirpur upazila on Kushtia-Meherpur highway on Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Saddam Hossain, 30, son of Jinnat Ali of Gorosthan area of Burpara union of the upazila.

According to locals, a shallow-machine run trolley overturned as its driver Mizan lost control over its handle, leaving Saddam, who was on the trolley, serous injured. He was rushed to Mirpur Upazila Health Complex by locals where he was declared dead.

The trolley driver Mizan also sustained injuries in the accident.

Rafiqul Islam, Officer-in-charge (OC) of Mirpur Police Station, confirmed the news.
