Women team leave Dhaka for Singapore

Sport Desk: The national women's football team left Dhaka for Singapore on Wednesday to take part in women's development football tournament-2017.

A flight of Regent Airways carrying Bangladesh players left the airport around 1:45pm. The team will play two matches against Singapore and Malaysia.

Country's leading brand Walton Group has become the team sponsor Bangladesh National Women Team.

Apart from Bangladesh, hosts Singapore and Malaysian national teams will take part in the tri-nation football tournament, scheduled to be held from February 16-18.

Head of Sports & Welfare of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar said, "We are providing support in country's football arena in particular, women's football side."

We hope our team will play well in Singapore, he added.
