Bus carrying workers catches fire in Gazipur, 7 hurt

At least seven workers were injured when a fire broke out on a bus carrying workers of an industry in Kaliganj of Gazipur.
The incident took place in Sombazar area in Tumlia union of the upazila on Wednesday night (February 26).
Kaliganj fire service and police said the bus was transporting the workers via the Water Development Board Road in Tumilia union, heading towards Tongi. Suddenly, the bus caught fire, which quickly spread, engulfing the entire vehicle, including its CNG cylinder. As workers rushed to escape, at least seven sustained injuries.
Later, on information, a fire unit from Kaliganj fire service rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control.
Kaliganj fire service senior fire fighter Atiqur Rahman confirmed the matter.
