Tk 27, 243 crore revenue collected in Ctg customs

Staff Correspondent: The Chittagong customs house has collected a total of Taka 27, 243 crore as revenue in 2014-15 fiscal year.

Chittagong custom house sources confirmed the figure to risingbd.com on Wednesday.

"The figure is more than that of the revenue target set for the economic year," said the customs officials.

The customs authorities of the port city said that the amount was earned as the exports and imports were normal even during the opposition parties` nationwide protest programmes against the ruling government.

Assistant Commissioner (statistics) of the port city custom house, Abdullah Al Mamun, told risingbd.com, "It was a total of Taka 26 thousand 933 crore and 78 lakh as revenue target in financial year."

"In fiscal year 2014-15, the revenue collection was earned in energy sector more than other sectors," the sources also added.
