War crimes trial against 6 Gaibandha men starts

Staff Correspondent: War crimes trial against 6 Gaibandha men including a former Jamaat-e-Islami lawmaker, has started as International Crimes Tribunal-1 (ICT) framed three charges against them on Monday.

They have been framed charges for their alleged involvement with crimes committed during the country’s Liberation War in 1971.

The three-member panel headed by Justice Anwarul Haque fixed August 2 for starting the trial with recording of depositions of the prosecution and the witnesses.
