10 Madhabpur families quarantined for joining Ansari's janaza

10 families of Madhabpur upazila in Habiganj district have been asked to remain in home quarantine as they attended the namaz-e-janaza of Maulana Jubayer Ahmed Ansari at Sarail upazila of Brahmanbaria district on Saturday last, ignoring the risk of coronavirus transmission.

Madhabpur upazila assistant commissioner (land) Ayesha Akter confirmed the matter on Monday (April 20).

"Members of those families attended the janaza of Maulana Jubayer Ahmed Ansari which prompted the administration to send their entire family in home quarantine," Ayesha Akter said.
