11 get life term for killing in Mymensingh

A court in Mymensingh sentenced 11 people to life in prison for killing a college student at Gafargaon Upazila in 2012.

Judge Ehsanul Haque of the Mymensingh Special Judge Court passed the order on Wednesday afternoon.

The convicts are – Mofazzal, Ilias, Mamun, Mostafa Kamal alias Mantu, Palash, Jaz Mia, Khokon, Sabuj, Anwar, Sohag and Alam.

The court also fined them Tk20,000 each in default to suffer six months more of rigorous imprisonment.

According to the case statement, college student Shihab Hasan, 20, went missing on October 19, 2012. Later, his throat silt body found in the bank of Brahmaputra River.
