2 BGB men killed in Godagari road crash

Two members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) were killed and two others injured in a road accident on Rajshahi-Chapainawabganj highway in Godagari upazila on Saturday morning.

The deceased were identified as lance nayek Abu Sayed, 35, and Jubayer Hossain, 40, of BGB-53 battalion.

According to sources, 22 members of BGB-53 battalion were going to Rajshahi for training. A goods-laden truck hit the Rajshahi-bound BGB vehicle in front of Godagari Govt College, leaving BGB member Jubayer dead on the spot and leaving four injured.

The critically injured Abu Sayed died at the hospital.

The injured were taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
