2 motorcyclists killed in Habiganj road crash

Two motorcyclists were killed after a truck hit their vehicle at Madhabpur upazila in Habiganj district on Sunday night.

The deceased were identified as Masuk Mia, 35, son of Moksud Ali at Bhabanipur village of the upazila, and Roman Mia, 25, son of Mizan Mia of the same village.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shaistaganj Highway Police Station Tawfiqul Islam confirmed the news.

He said Masuk and Roman were going to Madhabpur. A Sylhet-bound speedy truck hit their motorcycle in Ithakhola area of Dhaka-Sylhet highway, leaving the duo seriously injured.

Later, locals took the injured to Madhabpur Upazila Health Complex where duty doctor declared them dead, he also said.

Police seized the truck and arrested its driver.
