2 varsity students go missing in sea

Cox’s Bazar Correspondent: Two university students have gone missing after they tried to swim at sea beach in Cox's Bazar.

The victims’ are- Ariful Islam, a student of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET), Rafiqul Islam, a student of Chattogram Islami University.

Md Zillur Rahman, superintendent of police (SP) of Tourist police in Cox's Bazar zone, said, couple of students, including the duo, went to the beach at Laboni Point to swim. Meanwhile, five of them were dragged away by the tides on Saturday noon.

Later, on information local lifeguards rescued three of them and sent them to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital.
