21 new corona patients detected in Mymensingh division

A total of 21 people have been found to be infected newly with coronavirus or COVID-19 in Mymensingh division, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the division to 437.

Of those originally infected, 54 people have recovered from the virus and returned to their respective homes.

Report of 21 people came back positive following sample tests of 282 people at the PCR lab of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital on Saturday (May 9).

Chitto Ranjan Devnath, principal at the hospital, confirmed the matter.

AKM Moshiul Alam, civil surgeon of Mymensingh, said of 437 people infected with coronavirus in Mymensingh division, 213 are in Mymensingh district, 108 in Jamalpur district, 74 Netrokona district and 42 in Sherpur district.
