3 die with coronavirus-like symptoms in Rajshahi

Three people died with coronavirus-like symptoms in Rajshahi on Sunday night.

They all died between 10:00pm to 11:30pm while taking treatment at Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital (RMCH).

RMCH deputy director Dr Saiful Ferdous confirmed the news.

The dead were known as Nabuwat Ali, 50, owner of Ahmed Courier Service. He is a resident of Alupatti area of Rajshahi city.

The other two are identified as Motiur Rahman, 56, a resident of Paba Natunpara area under Shah Mokhdum Police Station of Rajshahi and Md Sentu, 48, resident of Monigram area of Bagha upazila.

RMCH deputy director Dr Saiful Ferdous said they all had symptoms-like coronavirus. But they were died before test. Samples have been collected after death. After test, it would be confirmed whether they were infected with coronavirus.

Earlier around 9:00am on Sunday, another patient Aijddun died with coronavirus-like symptoms at the ICU of RMCH. He was a resident of Mohishabathan of the city. His sample has been collected for coronavirus test.
